Privacy First: UpCheck Pro operates entirely offline. We do not collect, store, or transmit your scanned barcode data, photos, or personal information to any server.
1. Information Collection
UpCheck Pro is designed to be a privacy-centric utility. We do not collect:
- Personal identification information (names, emails, phone numbers).
- Location data (GPS).
- Scanned barcode data or history (this stays on your device).
- Device identifiers or usage analytics.
2. Camera Usage
We request access to your device's Camera strictly for the purpose of scanning barcodes.
- Real-time Processing: The camera feed is processed in real-time using Apple's Vision framework to detect UPC, EAN, ISBN, and GTIN codes.
- No Cloud Upload: Images processed by the camera are analyzed locally in the device's volatile memory (RAM) and are never saved to permanent storage or uploaded to the cloud.
- AI Repair: Our AI algorithms for reconstructing damaged barcodes run locally on your device's Neural Engine.
3. Local Data Storage
Your scan history is stored securely within the app's local sandbox on your device.
- Control: You have full control over this data. You can view, export, or delete your scan history at any time within the app settings.
- Deletion: If you uninstall the app, all local history and settings are permanently removed from your device.
4. Third-Party Services
UpCheck Pro does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
