Help for enabling the Safari extension, managing current-site cookies, importing and exporting JSON, copying Cookie Header strings, and understanding Safari or HttpOnly limitations.
Cookie Lens is a Safari extension utility for viewing, searching, creating, editing, deleting, importing, and exporting cookies that are accessible for the current Safari site.
Important: Cookie values and Header strings can contain login sessions or other sensitive information. Please do not send real cookie values, full Header strings, exported JSON files, or active login data when contacting support.
Please include the app version, iOS or iPadOS version, device model, Safari page type, what you expected to happen, what actually happened, and the steps needed to reproduce the issue.
Please remove or mask cookie values, domains, account identifiers, tokens, and Header strings before sending screenshots or examples.
Open the app and follow the Safari extension setup guide. In Safari, enable the extension and allow it for the site where you want to inspect cookies. Safari controls the final site permission prompt and settings.
Site access lets the Safari extension read and manage cookies for the current site where you open the extension. Cookie Lens uses this access for current-site cookie management, not for advertising, analytics, or cross-site tracking.
Safari, WebKit, HttpOnly, security, and site-specific restrictions can prevent some cookies from being visible or editable. Cookie Lens shows cookies that are accessible to the Safari extension for the current site and does not bypass browser security restrictions.
No in the current release. Cookie viewing, editing, import, export, and Header generation are processed on device. Cookie Lens does not operate a developer server for collecting cookie data.
Exported files are created only when you choose to export. After that, the file location and sharing destination are controlled by you and by iOS. Please protect exported files because they can contain sensitive session data.
The Header string is copied to the system clipboard after your action. Clipboard content may be visible to other apps or system features depending on iOS behavior, so clear or replace it when you no longer need it.
Some records may be skipped or fail validation because of invalid fields, unsupported formats, site permission limits, domain/path mismatch, Safari restrictions, or cookie attributes that cannot be written in the current context.
HttpOnly and other restricted cookies may be hidden or protected by Safari and WebKit. Cookie Lens explains those limits but does not bypass them.
Send the app version, device, iOS or iPadOS version, Safari site type, sanitized steps, and screenshots with sensitive values removed. Do not send real cookies, active login sessions, full Header strings, or exported JSON containing private data.
