ID Age Scanner Privacy Policy

ID Age Scanner is an on-device ID barcode age screening assistant for supported PDF417/AAMVA barcodes. The current release is designed to process scans locally and avoid uploading identity data to developer-operated servers.

Privacy-first design: ID Age Scanner does not upload raw barcode payloads, scan history, identity details, or app usage profiles to a developer-operated server in the current release.

1. Data We Collect

We do not collect personal data through a developer-operated server in the current release.

The app may store the following limited information locally on your device:

Scan time.
PASS, DENY, or REVIEW result.
Age result or age rule summary used for the decision.
Expiration status and expiration date when available.
Issuing jurisdiction, issuing country, document class, restriction code, endorsement code, and review reasons when available.
User preferences, including age rule, language, and theme.

2. Data We Do Not Store or Upload

Raw PDF417 barcode payload.
ID card photos.
Full name, address, or license number.
Original full date of birth text.
Location, contacts, photo library, microphone, NFC, or biometric information.
Advertising identifiers or cross-app tracking identifiers.

3. Local Processing and Storage

Scanning, parsing, age decisions, history, and statistics are processed on this device. Local history is stored inside the app sandbox. You can delete individual records or clear local history in the app. When you uninstall the app, iOS normally removes the app's local container data.

4. Permissions

ID Age Scanner requests camera access only to scan the PDF417 barcode on the back of an ID. The app does not request Photos, Location, Microphone, NFC, Contacts, or account access.

5. Third-Party SDKs and Tracking

The current release does not include third-party advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, custom tracking SDKs, login SDKs, payment SDKs, or remote cloud services.

6. Your Choices

You can deny camera access. Scanning requires camera permission, but local history and settings remain available.
You can delete a single local record or clear all local history.
You can uninstall the app to remove the app's local container data from your device.

7. Important Limitations

ID Age Scanner assists age screening by reading supported barcode data. It does not guarantee fake ID detection and does not replace manual ID inspection or local legal requirements.

8. Children's Privacy

ID Age Scanner is not directed to children under 13.

9. Policy Updates

If privacy behavior changes in a future release, this page will be updated with a new effective date.
